Let's face it, dating isn't as clear cut and the same for each person. Dating is definitely not as easy as many TV shows or movies make it seem. It can be extremely awkward at times and uncomfortable. Usually dating is a time when others judge you. You can be judged on your looks, your career, your education, even the shoes you wear.
Do's of Dating
Here are three things that you should do when you date. First off, make sure that you are polite and respectful to your date. If nothing else, you should be a gentleman or a classy lady. For many people, dating can be very uncomfortable, make it easier for both of you by showing some class. You don't have to be Prince Valiant, but you should speak to your date in an intelligent manner, acknowledge her feelings and have respect for her.
Communicate with your date. Believe it or not many people date because they have nothing else to do. Only go on a date if you are interested in the person, looking forward to a conversation and willing to give the other person attention.
If you are the one that is picking the place for the date, make sure you choose a date location that both of you will be comfortable at. Your favorite hamburger joint might be a great place to take your date once you get to know him or her, but usually doesn't fly during your first date.
Don'ts of Dating
Don't get drunk. There is a time and a place for everything, while you might feel more comfortable after several drinks, if this is your first date, you will probably not make a great impression. The best impression you can make is that you are responsible.
Flirt but don't tease. There is a different. Flirting can be fun, but when you tease, you will surely annoy your date in a short period of time. To succeed at dating, know the difference.
